Terms of
Service

These terms govern your use of the ScreenCache platform — a personal image knowledge utility with social features. By creating an account, you agree to these terms in full.

StatusEnforced
Effective DateMarch 9, 2026
[01]

Ownership

You retain full ownership of your images. We require a limited license to operate the service.

[02]

Privacy

Your Account identity is never exposed publicly. Avatars are your public presence.

[03]

Safety

Every upload is scanned for malware and policy violations before it reaches the platform.

01

Eligibility & Accounts

Age Requirement

You must be at least 13 years old to use ScreenCache (16 in the EEA/UK under GDPR). Users between 13 and 17 require parental or guardian consent. Accounts found in violation will be immediately terminated and all data purged.

Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. ScreenCache uses AWS Cognito for authentication and never stores your password directly. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

One Human, One Account

Each person may maintain one Account. Automated or bot-created accounts are prohibited.
02

Identity Model

ScreenCache uses a two-tier identity system:

Account (Private)

Your private identity tied to your email. Manages settings, owns content, has Connections (max 2,000). Never visible to the public.

Avatar (Public)

Public persona(s) with @handles. Publish Posts, build audience, send/receive public messages. Free tier: 3 Avatars. Premium: 10 Avatars.

You are responsible for all activity under your Account and all Avatars it owns. Misrepresentation of identity in ways that deceive other users is prohibited.

03

Content & Licensing

“User Content” means any image you upload to ScreenCache. The platform accepts images only — no video, audio, or document files. You retain full ownership of your images.

Platform License

You grant ScreenCache a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, transcode (including EXIF removal, format conversion, and thumbnail generation), cache via CDN, and display your content for the purpose of operating the Service.

Safety License

You grant ScreenCache the right to scan, analyze, and classify your content (including private library items and message attachments) via automated systems for malware detection, content moderation, and metadata extraction.

These licenses terminate when you delete your content or account, except for copies previously cached on CDN (which expire per cache policy) and any content required for legal compliance.

04

Prohibited Content

Zero Tolerance // CSAM

Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) is strictly prohibited. Detection at any confidence level triggers immediate NCMEC reporting (18 U.S.C. § 2258A), account termination, and data preservation for law enforcement.

  • Explicit nudity & sexual content
  • Violence & visually disturbing imagery
  • Non-consensual intimate imagery (NCII)
  • Malware or harmful code embedded in images
  • Intellectual property infringement
  • Harassment, hate speech & threats
  • Illegal content & terrorism promotion
  • Spam, fraud & social engineering
05

Content Moderation

Every uploaded image is automatically scanned via AWS GuardDuty (malware), Amazon Rekognition (content moderation labels), and Amazon Nova Lite (classification). Messages and their image attachments are also subject to scanning. Direct messages are not end-to-end encrypted.

EnforcementContent violating these terms is quarantined or removed. Accounts may be terminated without prior notice for serious violations.
Borderline ContentImages flagged with moderate confidence are queued for human review before a final decision is made.
AppealsContact safety@screencache.com to appeal moderation decisions (except CSAM, which cannot be appealed).
06

Messaging

DM Permissions

You control who can message you: Connections only, or Anyone. This is configured per-Account.

Message Content

Messages may contain text (up to 5,000 characters) and up to 4 image attachments. All messages and attachments are subject to the same content policies and automated scanning as Posts.

Blocking

Blocking an account prevents them from messaging you, viewing your content, or interacting with your Avatars. Block enforcement is immediate.

Deletion

Deleted messages show a placeholder to recipients. Message data is soft-deleted server-side (not permanently erased from storage).
07

Subscriptions

Free$0

10 GB storage, 3 Avatars

Premium$4.99/mo

250 GB storage, 10 Avatars

Payments are processed via Stripe Checkout. ScreenCache never sees or stores your payment card details. Subscription status is updated via Stripe webhooks.

You may cancel your Premium subscription at any time. Access continues until the end of the current billing period. If your storage exceeds the Free tier limit after downgrade, you will not be able to upload new images until you reduce usage below the limit.

08

Intellectual Property

DMCA Takedown Protocol

If you believe your copyrighted work has been posted without authorization, submit a takedown notice to dmca@screencache.com. Notices must include identification of the copyrighted work, its location on the platform, and a sworn statement of authority.

REPEAT INFRINGERS WILL BE TERMINATED
09

Liability & Disputes

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED “AS IS”. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES. LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF $100 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID IN THE PRIOR 12 MONTHS.

Disputes shall be resolved via binding individual arbitration. Class action waiver applies. Governing law: Delaware, United States.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ScreenCache, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from your use of the platform, your content, or your violation of these Terms.
10

Modifications

We may update these Terms at any time. For material changes, we will provide at least 30 days' notice via email and/or a prominent in-app notification.

Continued use of the platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree to updated Terms, you must stop using the service and may request account deletion.

The effective date at the top of this page always reflects the current revision.
